Notables

  • At the age of 15, Gary reached his first NHRA national event final round at the 1998 Cajun Nationals. In this race, he drove against his brother "Speedy", setting up for the first all brother final in NHRA history, as well as becoming the youngest national event finalist in the history of the sport.
  • Gary won his first NHRA national event at the World Finals in Pomona, California in 1991 in a borrowed car, which up until that weekend he had not driven.
